CHAPEL HILL — The Person boys’ tennis team dropped its second contest of the season on Thursday by losing to Piedmont Athletic Conference foe East Chapel Hill, 9-0.

The Rockets were scheduled to make up Tuesday’s postponement against Chapel Hill on Friday, but were rained out once again and will have to play the match at a later date.

Corey Bowes, Michael Tompkins, Ray Echevarria, John Granholm, B.J. Gooch, and Dustin Davis participated in the single matches for Person on Thursday.

Bowes and Tompkins, Echevarria and Granholm, and Gooch and Johnny Lea also lost their doubles matches to the Wildcats.

The Rockets are scheduled to resume conference action on Tuesday at Northern Durham.
