Deputies with the Person County Sheriffs Department
arrested Jeremy Michael Bowes, 26, of 70 Benjamin Ct. Monday
on two felony charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle
and one felony count each of breaking and entering and larceny.
Warrants for Bowes arrest were issued on Jan. 9. The incidents
that led to his arrest reportedly took place on Jan. 4.
Bowes was released from custody after posting a $5,000 secured
bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District
Court on Feb. 12.
Roxboro police arrested Andrew Jackson Pleasant, 36, of 3675
Gordonton Rd. Monday on a felony count of larceny by an employee.
Pleasant was taken into custody at Wal-Mart at 1049 Durham
Rd.
Pleasant, who was employed by Wal-Mart is alleged to have
stolen DVDs and various food items from the store over
the past six months. Pleasant reportedly confessed to the
theft of the items.
Pleasant was released from custody under a $1,000 unsecured
bond, pending a Jan. 29 hearing in district court.
