After executing a search warrant at a Pointer Street residence
Sunday and confiscating marijuana, cash and a 22-caliber handgun,
Roxboro police arrested Hector Ortiz Guerrero, 33, of 1324
Pointer St. on drug-related charges.
Guerrero was charged with felony counts of possession of marijuana,
possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining
a dwelling for the sell of marijuana. Guerrero was also charged
with a misdemeanor count of resist, delay and obstruct.
Police reportedly confiscated over 305 grams of marijuana
during their search of the residence as well as $320 cash.
Guerrero was jailed under a $20,000 secured bond. He is scheduled
to appear in Person County District Court on Feb. 12.
Freddie Thompson, 34, of 722 S. Main St. was arrested by
sheriffs deputies Saturday on a felony charge of possession
of cocaine.
Thompson was allegedly found to be in possession of one rock
of crack cocaine when he was arrested at 722 Durham Rd.
Thompson was held under a $1,500 secured bond. He is slated
to appear in district court on Feb. 5.
