Roxboro police arrested Lawrence Edward Claiborne, 52, of 210 Woody St., Lot 28 Monday on a felony charge of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest of Claiborne came after an indictment was handed down by the Person County Grand Jury. The warrant for Claiborne’s arrest was issued Feb. 12.

Claiborne, who was taken into custody at a Henderson Road residence, was jailed under a $20,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on March 10.

Genise Lazette Austin, 40, of 130 Park St. was arrested by Roxboro police Monday on three felony charges of obtaining property by false pretense.

Warrants for Austin’s arrest were issued Feb. 12.

Austin was held under a $10,000 secured bond. She is slated to appear in district court on March 4.
