Roxboro police arrested two persons Friday after executing
a search warrant at an Allie Clay Road residence. Deputies
from the Person County Sheriffs Department aided police
investigators during their search of the residence.
Everett Gregory McCain, 45, of 970 Allie Clay Rd. and Dana Darlene
Newcomer, 30, of Bahama were each arrested on drug-related charges
after investigators reportedly confiscated large sums of powder
cocaine as well as marijuana, various type of non-tax paid liquor,
three firearms, ammunition and $174 in cash.
McCain was charged with five felony counts of possession
with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled
substance, one felony count of maintaining a dwelling for
the sale and delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor
charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession
of non-tax paid liquor. He was jailed under a $30,000 secured
bond.
Newcomer was charged with a felony count of possession of
cocaine and held under a $5,000 secured bond.
The two are scheduled to appear in Person County District
Court on April 8.
