Deputies with the Person County Sheriffs Department
arrested Mark Regan, 44, of 903 Chub Lake Rd. Friday on a
host of fraud-related charges.
Regan was charged with 13 felony counts of obtaining property
by false pretense, three felony counts of forgery of an instrument
and one felony count each of uttering a forged instrument
and financial card forgery.
The incidents that led to Regans arrest reportedly
took place in August and September of last year.
Regan was jailed under a $20,000 secured bond. He is scheduled
to appear in Person County District Court on May 6.
Roxboro police arrested Dustin Sherard Howell, 25, of 1027
Cavel-Chub Lake Rd. Friday on a felony count of possession
of heroin.
Howell was reportedly found to be in possession of two bindles
of heroin by a probation officer.
Howell was held under a $12,000 secured bond. He is slated
to appear in district court on April 22.
Paul Ashley McGhee, 49, of 204 Tom Oakley Rd. in Timberlake
was arrested by sheriffs deputies Sunday on a felony
charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious
injury.
McGhee is alleged to have stabbed a male victim during an
argument that reportedly took place at 4855 Mt. Harmony Church
Rd. in Rougemont early Sunday morning.
McGhee was held under a $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled
to appear in district court on May 8.
