Sheriff’s deputies arrested Derrick Thomas Atkins, 21, of 353 Golden Leaf Lane Friday on a felony larceny charge.

The incident that led to the charge against Atkins reportedly took place on May 5.

Atkins was released from custody after posting a $5,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 1.

Roxboro police arrested Michael Ray Pruitt, 43, of 310 Bumpass Lane Sunday on a felony charge of larceny of a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of larceny.

Pruitt was jailed under a $3,000 secured bond. He is slated to appear in district court on June 10.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Clarence Dion Smith, 34, of 316 Jessie Hicks Rd. Monday on a felony charge of sell or delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance.

Warrants for Smith’s arrest were issued May 28. The incident that led to his arrest reportedly took place on Feb. 29.

Smith was released under a $2,000 unsecured bond, pending a June 24 appearance in district court.
