Michael Martinez, 21, of 42 Poindexter Rd. in Hurdle Mills was arrested by Roxboro police Tuesday on felony charges of motor vehicle theft and obtaining property by false pretense.

Martinez allegedly stole a vehicle and then sold the vehicle for $400.

Martinez was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond. He is slated to appear in district court on Aug. 26.

Rashad Irjah Lunsford, 19, of 734 Ephesus Church Rd. was arrested by Roxboro police Wednesday and charged with a felony account of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

The charge against Lunsford reportedly stems from a stabbing incident that took place at 711 Leasburg Rd., Lot #20 in which a person suffered two lacerations on the back.

Lunsford was released from custody after posting a $3,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 9.
