Sherman Omar Howard, 23, of 2150 Sinai Rd., Apt. C was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a felony charge of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Howard was reportedly found to be in possession of 12.2 grams of powder cocaine when deputies searched a vehicle he was riding following a traffic stop on the Boston Road.

Howard was held under a $10,000 secured bond. He is slated to appear in district court on Nov. 1.

Roxboro police arrested Emmett Brent Hill, 50, of 4798 Helena-Moriah Rd. in Timberlake Thursday on felony charges of breaking and entering and larceny. In addition, Hill was charged with misdemeanor counts of injury to real property and communicating threats. Hill is alleged to have broken into a residence on Elmwood Drive. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in district court on Oct. 23.

David Allen Liles, 20, of 369 Lewis Winstead Loop Rd. was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a felony charge of possession of cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Liles was reportedly a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a license checkpoint being conducted by Roxboro police and sheriff’s deputies near Kerr Drive. Deputies reportedly found him to be in possession of a small amount of powder cocaine and two drug paraphernalia items. Liles was held under a $5,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Oct. 23.
