Sherman Omar Howard, 23, of 2150 Sinai Rd., Apt. C was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a felony charge of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Barnette is alleged to have intentionally started a fire on a front porch rail at the apartment complex where he resides. The fire reportedly did minimal damage to the porch railing.

Barnette was jailed under a $75,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on Oct. 30.

Brandon Clayton Dunn, 24, of 601 Ned Moore Rd. was arrested by deputies with the Person County Sheriff’s Department Monday on two felony charges of obtaining property by false pretense.

Warrants for Dunn’s arrest were issued last month in Durham County. The incidents that led to his arrest reportedly took place on Sept. 4 in Durham County.

Dunn was held under a $5,000 secured bond. He is slated to appear in Durham County District Court on Oct. 22.

James Alonzo Elmore, 35, of Blanch was arrested Monday by Roxboro police on a felony charge of obtaining property by false pretense.

A warrant for Elmore’s arrest was issued on Aug. 9.

Elmore was held under a $1,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County Superior Court on Nov. 6.
