A Thursday evening traffic stop by Roxboro police led to
the drug-related arrest of a Roxboro man.
Daniel Arkeem McCain, 20, of 127 Cleveland Lane was arrested
on a trio of drug charges after police reportedly found him
to be in possession of 14.9 grams of crack cocaine and 19.1
grams of marijuana during the traffic stop on Long Avenue.
McCain was charged with felony counts of possession with
intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, possession with
intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle
for the sale of a controlled substance.
McCain was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled
to appear in Person County District Court on Nov. 13.
Richard Lee Bowes, 40, of 186 Same Parts Rd. was arrested
by sheriffs deputies Tuesday on felony charges of breaking
and entering and larceny.
The incident that led to Bowes arrest reportedly took
place Sept. 4.
Bowes was jailed under a $5,000 secured bond. He is slated
to appear in district court on Nov. 6.
