Deputies with the Person County Sheriff’s Department arrested Guy Wesley Carr, 35, of 1130 Charlie Carr Rd. Tuesday on a felony count of possession of a controlled substance.

Carr was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Carr was released from custody after posting an $8,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on Dec. 4.

Michael Outlaw, 42, of 213 Oxford Rd. was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Monday on a felony charge of larceny.

Outlaw was initially held in custody under a $1,500 secured bond. He is slated to appear in district court on Nov. 13.

Joey Lee Harris, 23, of 155 Black Wolf Rd. in Semora was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a pair of domestic-violence related charges.

Harris was charged with a felony count of assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor count of assault on a female.

Due to the fact that the charges were domestic-violence related, Harris was initially held in custody without privilege of bond. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 13.
