Roxboro police arrested two persons Wednesday in connection with an alleged robbery of an elderly Yarborough Street resident.

Shari Faber Ross, 30, of 305 Dan Winstead Rd. and Betty Lou Holt, 36, of 465 Melton Rd. each face charges in connection with the alleged robbery that took place Tuesday morning.

Ross was charged with a felony count of armed robbery and a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault, while Holt was charged with a felony count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Ross was jailed under a $3,000 secured bond, while Holt was held under a $1,000 secured bond. The two are scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on Nov. 20.

Ross is alleged to have entered the home and struck the victim with an object before stealing cash totaling $180, a firearm valued at $100 and a wallet.

Roxboro police arrested two persons Tuesday evening following a high-speed chase that ended on the Durham Road.

Police reportedly attempted to stop a 1999 Toyota Celica for having an inoperable headlight prior to the chase ensuing.

Police later learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Durham. With the aid of the North Carolina Highway Patrol and stop sticks that were placed in the roadway, police managed to get the vehicle stopped.

The driver of the car, Daryl Roderick Page Jr., 21, of Norcross, Ga., was charged with felony counts of possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing to elude arrest as well as misdemeanor charges of speeding, careless and reckless driving and a headlight violation. He was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.

A passenger in the vehicle, Skyler Morgan Page, 17, of Durham, was charged with a felony count of possession of a stolen vehicle and released to the custody of her mother. The two are scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 20.
