Roxboro man faces pair of
drug-related charges

Roxboro police arrested Shane Lamar Moss, 20, of 410 Green St. Saturday on a pair of drug-related charges.
Moss was taken into custody at the intersection of Chub Lake Street and Wilkins Drive. Warrants for his arrest were issued on Nov. 19.

Moss was charged with felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and sale and delivery of cocaine.

Moss was held under a $30,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on Dec. 18.

Deputies with the Person County Sheriff’s Department arrested Nicholas Gray Clayton, 22, of 1708 Forrest St. early Sunday morning after responding to a possible break-in at Northern Middle School at 1935 Carver Dr.

Clayton was taken into custody shortly after he was reportedly seen exiting the school. Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies charged Clayton with a felony count of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny and a misdemeanor count of property damage. A window and a door strip at the school were reportedly damaged when Clayton broke into the school. The damage was estimated at $350.

Clayton was jailed under a $20,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 15.
