Deputies with the Person County Sheriff’s Department arrested Taylor Scott Rimmer, 19, of 451 Younger Rd. Friday on a pair of drug-related charges.

Rimmer was charged with a felony count of possession of narcotics and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warrants for Rimmer’s arrest were issued last Tuesday. The incident that led to his arrest reportedly took place on Nov. 26.

Rimmer was held under a $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Person County District Court on Dec. 18.

Terry Cornelius Cates, 28, of 125 James McGhee Lane was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Friday on drug-related charges.

Cates was charged with felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the sale and delivery of cocaine as well as misdemeanor charges of simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warrants for Cates’ arrest were issued last Monday. The incident that led to his arrest reportedly took place on Nov. 28.

Cates was held under a $5,000 secured bond. He is slated to appear in district court on Jan. 8.
