Andrew T. Cash
The funeral for Andrew Thomas (Shorty) Cash, 52, of 110 Cleveland
Ln., who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at the Duke Hospice In-patient
Care Facility in Hillsborough, will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 10, in The Greater Cleggs Chapel Missionary Baptist
Church in Timberlake by the Rev. Louis Cash. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Mr. Cash was the son of Ola Mae Cash of Roxboro, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Christy Cash
of Roxboro; three sisters, Brenda McGhee, Hazel Cash and Shirley
Cash, all of Roxboro; seven brothers, John Floyd, William, Jimmy
and Everette Cash, all of Durham and Willie and Charlie Cash, both
of Roxboro; and a special friend, Sharon Stewart of Roxboro;
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Hester,
Whitted & Daye Funeral Home and at other times at the home of
Shirley Cash, 89 Primrose Dr., Roxboro.
Malcolm Crumpton
Malcolm Mac Crumpton, age 70, of Connersville, passed
away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Fayette Regional Health System.
Born in Roxboro, North Carolina on December 23, 1936, he is the
son of William and Virginia Garrett Crumpton; both who precede him
in death.
He served with the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 and attained
the rank of Spec 4.
On May 11, 1963 in Connersville, he married Sandra Hobbs.
Along with his wife, Mac owned and operated Macs Auto Glass
from 1978 until his retirement in September 2004. He also owned
and operated Macs A1 Body Shop for many years. In his spare
time he enjoyed yard work, was a fan of auto racing, and when he
was younger he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children and their
spouses, Lynn & John Kerr of Semora, NC, Robin Crumpton of Cary,
NC, Lisa & Burnard Harrison, Doug & Leslie Crumpton and
Chad Crumpton all of Connersville; sisters, Ruth Green and her husband
Ed, and Diana Bolton and her husband Terry of Roxboro, NC, and Rebecca
Saunders of Apex, NC; brother, Bob Crumpton and his wife Pat of
Roxboro, NC; sister in law Judy Crumpton of Hurdle Mills, NC; four
grandchildren, Brian Harrison, Sara Harrison and Calen Crumpton
all of Connersville and Taylor Gentry of Roxboro, NC; several nieces
and nephews; and his two late dogs, Big Wendy and Little Wendy.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Garrett
Crumpton.
Private family funeral services will be at Urban Winkler Funeral
Home with Rev. Dean Van Winkle of the Columbia United Methodist
Church officiating.
Friends and family may gather on Friday December 7, 2007 from 5-8
pm.
Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to Fayette
Regional Health System Oncology Department or to the Leukemia Society.

Mary H. High
NASHVILLE The funeral for Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Hilley
High, 87, of Nashville, who died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, was conducted
at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Nashville United Methodist Church.
Burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
Born March 24, 1920 in Wilson, Mrs. High was the daughter of the
late Dr. Howard Stevens and Maggie Tucker Hilley. Her late husband
was Dr. Larry Allison High.
She graduated magna cum laude from Atlantic Christian College She
also attended Randolph Macon Women's College and did post graduate
work at Pratt Institute of Art and Technology in New York. She received
a masters degree in education from East Carolina University
in 1972.
She taught at Northern Nash High School from 1966 to 1982, served
as president of the Nash Association of Classroom Teachers, was
a member of the Nashville Planning Board, chairman of N.C. Association
of Art Educators, president of the N.C. Art Education Association,
and was a recipient of a painting prize at the Rocky Mount Annual
Art Exhibit.
She was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church, the N.C.
Museum of Art, N.C. Arts Council, the Barton Society, Friends of
Cooley Library and Braswell Library, Kappa Delta Pi and Delta Kappa
Gamma.
She enjoyed bridge, online Scrabble, genealogy, and her friends
and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Tingen and husband, Andy,
of Washington, and formerly of Roxboro, Margaret Nowell and husband,
Al, of Wilson; two sons, Larry Allison High Jr. and wife, Beth,
of Rocky Mount, Robert High and wife, Kathy, of Raleigh; a sister,
Jeanne Crabill of Charlottesville, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Maggie
Walker, Robbie Reid, Raymond, Kevin, Rachel, Brandon and Natalie
High, Mary-Allison, Bert and Annie Nowell, Drew and Charlie Tingen,
and two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Noah Walker; and a dear
friend, D.A. Willey.
Memorials may be made to the Nashville UMC, 209 E. Washington St.,

or to a charity of choice.
Dorothy J. McCoy
The funeral for Dorothy Jeffers McCoy, 80, of 392 Hazel Lawson
Rd., who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Person Memorial Hospital
following an extended illness, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday,
Dec. 11, in Lawson Chapel Baptist Church by Dr. Langston D. Logan.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McCoy was a member of Lawson Chapel Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Arnold McCoy of Roxboro and Michael McCoy
of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Venix Jeffers and Roy Jeffers,
both of Baltimore; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Cunningham
& Nelson Funeral and at other times at the home.
Rose D. Renn
HENDERSON A graveside funeral for Rose Dixon Renn, 80, of
116 Satterwhite Point Ln., who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at her
home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 8, in the Elmwood
Cemetery by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Born in Hillsborough, Mrs. Renn was the daughter of the late Alex
and Lee Terrell Dixon. Her late husband was John P. Renn Jr.
She was retired from Southern Quilters Inc.
She attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was a devoted Duke fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn Addison of Bahama; two sons,
Kenneth Murray of Efland and Dwight Murray of Timberlake; two stepdaughters,
Shelia Taylor of Clearwater, Fla. and Teresa West of Marietta, Ga.;
three granddaughters, Kim Aaroe and Carla Addison, both of Raleigh
and Melissa Murray of Roxboro; three grandsons, Steve Murray of
Roxboro, Jason Murray of Durham and Kyle Murray of Efland; and seven
great-grandchildren.

Ethel L. Rogers
A graveside funeral for Ethel Marie Lee Rogers, 74, of 1449 Jones
Store Rd., who died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at her home, will be conducted
at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 8, in the Clement Baptist Church cemetery
by the Rev. Benjamin Gault.
Mrs. Rogers was a native of Granville County, the daughter of the
late Robert Taylor and Mattie Mangum Adcock. Her late husband was
Edward Wilson Lee, and her late son was Thomas D. Lee.
She was retired from Food Lion and was a member of Clement Baptist
Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela M. Lee of the home; a son, Andrew
E. Lee and wife, Brenda, of Roxboro; four sisters, Margaret Oakley,
Katherine Askew, Janie Ruth Adcock and Madeline Bowling; two brothers,
Thomas and Garland Adcock; and two grandchildren: Addylean M. Lee
and Ella JoAnne Lee.
Visitation will be at the home.

Charlene R. Wesley
The funeral for Charlene Roach Wesley, 57, of 1072 Wesley-Gravitte
Rd., who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Duke University Medical
Center, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the Brooks
& White Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Danny Solomon. Burial
will be in Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church cemetery.
Born in Pittsylvania County, Va., Mrs. Wesley was the daughter
of the late Rison and Bertha Roach.
She was employed by Hubbard and Cates Attorneys At Law and attended
the Bible Baptist Tabernacle.
Surviving are her husband, William Dean Wesley; two daughters,
Tammy Rodriguez of Florida and Shelia Rowland of Roxboro; four brothers,
Leroy Roach of Roxboro, Leon Roach of Carolina Beach, John Roach
and Earl Roach, both of Roxboro; two sisters, Virginia McKay and
Alice Southern, both of Roxboro; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Amos, Daniel Walker, Mike Roach, Dale
Roach, Bruce Roach, James Roach, Paul Fuller and Ricky Roach.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, Dec. 8, at the
funeral home and at other times at the home.
